Bushnell Remote Work Technologies
This document details a number of options Bushnell Faculty and Staff have available in the event of a campus closure or significant disruption. During any period of disruption, it is our intention to continue to operate the Help Desk as per our usual business hours to assist with the technologies listed below.
Accessing your email account
Bushnell laptop and mobile users can continue to manage their email using Outlook Web Access through My.Bushnell or their installed versions of Microsoft Outlook.
To access Teams, go to https://teams.microsoft.com and log in with your Bushnell email address and password. The application can also be installed on your Android or iOS device. All installed platforms support text, audio, and video chat functions.
Our organizational Intranet, referred to as Knowledgebase, can be found athttps://helpdesk.bushnell.edu/kb/index.php. At our Knowledgebase site, you will find information regarding many different topics, including Beacon Learning and Office 365 applications.
Accessing Beacon Learning/Moodle
The site is located at https://beaconlearning.bushnell.edu/login/index.php. Access the service by entering your username and password. For more information on using Beacon Learning, visit our Knowledgebase site or submit a help ticket.
Accessing your phone messages
You can access your voicemail off-campus by calling that number.
Step 1: Call the desired phone number
Step 2: Wait for voice mail and then press *
Step 3: You will be prompted to enter your ID which is the Last 4 digits of the phone number followed by #
Step 4: You will be prompted to enter your PIN which is your Voice mail Password followed by #
If you have set your voicemail to go to your Bushnell email account, you can also play your messages from there.
Video conferencing/Distance Learning
Users requiring Zoom access should sign in with their Bushnell email address and password to access Zoom.
Getting access to Microsoft Office while on a non-Bushnell device
Bushnell faculty and staff can install Microsoft Office 365 applications on up to 5 devices. To install on a PC or Mac, please go to https://office.com and sign in with your Bushnell email address and password. To install Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or Teams on your Android or iOS device, please go to the App store on your device and download the desired applications. Our Help Desk will continue to be staffed from 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays. You can receive help by submitting a submitting a help ticket or calling the help desk at (541)-684-7272. Requests can be left 24 hours a day and will be responded to by IT staff during business hours.
*Note: Over the summer, the help desk will be closed at 5 PM every day.
