Last Updated 4 years ago
Virtual Classrooms
As of Summer 2020, virtual classroom capabilities have been added to L203, S100, and M112.
Stewardship
- Please only turn the system off if you are teaching the last class of the day.
- Sanitize all hard surfaces following each class, including touch panels, microphone body packs, and the teacher’s pendant.
- When you are finished using the microphones, neatly coil the lapel mic and make sure the microphones are seated correctly in the charging dock:
- Red light = Charging correctly
- Yellow light (may be blinking) = NOT charging
- Green light = Fully charged
New additions
- Touch Interface:
- From the touch panel, you can power the entire AV system on and off (including cameras and projectors), mute the microphone and projectors, change inputs between Desktop and HDMI for laptops, and change between camera angle presets
- Cameras:
- Front and back of classroom for teacher and class views. There are presets for the camera positions in the "Camera" tab of the touch panel.
- L203 has a "teacher's pendant" that makes the camera in the rear of the room follow the speaker. It has not been stress tested, but is an option.
- Microphones:
- L203, S100, and M112 all have microphones for the teacher. They may be lapel or handheld; feel free to use what you see available.
- L203 has ceiling mics to pick up classroom conversation
- M112 has microphone "pucks" per each piano keyboard row
- S100 teacher microphone will only go to the online classroom, not the physical classroom
- The microphone should turn off automatically when placed in the charging dock, and on again when removed from the dock. No need to change on/off settings on the microphones themselves.
- L203, S100, and M112 all have microphones for the teacher. They may be lapel or handheld; feel free to use what you see available.
Setting up Audio and Video preferences
Open whichever platform you're using for your virtual classroom (Teams, BigBlueButton, Zoom, etc). Audio and Video preferences will be located in your Settings.
- Set the Audio to the following settings:
- Microphone: "Shure P300"
- Speakers: "Extron Scaler D"
- Set the Video to the following settings:
